A Microsoft Tip to Help Speed Up Tasks
Time crunches, we are all under them and are typically looking for ways to more efficiently use our time! The Sheet Tab Bar may not add hours to your day nor will it serve you fruity cocktails, but it can add seconds to your life and we know, those seconds add up! Here is an easy tip that will help you easily add worksheets, rename or change the color of existing sheets, move them, or delete them in Microsoft Excel with incredible ease!
Here’s what you do:
To Add a new worksheet:
- Click on the New Sheet button at the bottom of the screen (Screenshot #1: the little “+” to the right of the tabs)
- On the Sheet tab bar, right-click a sheet tab. Then click Insert. (Screenshot #1)
- Select a General or Spreadsheet Solutions tab in the pop-up box (Screens Shot #2)
To Rename an existing worksheet:
- On the Sheet tab bar, right-click the sheet tab that you want to rename and then click Rename. (Screen Shot #1)
- Select the current name and then type the new name
To Move or Copy a worksheet:
- To change the order of the worksheets in a workbook, click the tab of the worksheet that you want to move and then drag it to the location you want. (Screen Shot #1)
To Delete a worksheet:
- Right-click the sheet tab of a worksheet that you want to delete and then click Delete Sheet. (Screen Shot #1)
